Overview

A concept built to attack the single biggest cost in apparel e-commerce: the return.

Type: Concept campaign. Industry: Fashion / Apparel. Year: 2026.

02

The challenge

Shapewear and fit-critical apparel converts well and returns badly. Every point of return rate quietly eats the media efficiency the ads earned. Most brands treat returns as a logistics line item instead of a creative brief.

03

The insight

Returns are usually a failure of expectation, not product. Customers guess their size from a model who doesn't resemble them, then punish the brand for the mismatch. The most profitable creative in this category isn't the most aspirational — it's the most specific.

04

The idea

FIT CHECK, HONESTLY — creative that leads with body specificity: height, size worn, and what the customer would change. Every ad maps to a landing module with the same person, same garment, same numbers, so the promise and the page agree.

05

Creative direction

Grid-led, editorial, unretouched. Typographic spec cards: height, size, fit note. A deliberate absence of superlatives. The art direction stays premium; the claims get smaller and truer.

06

Campaign execution

A casting pool built for range rather than sameness. One shoot yields a matrix: garment × body × spec card. Landing modules generated from the same matrix so any ad can hand off to its own proof.

07

Distribution

Broad prospecting with creative as the targeting layer, creator whitelisting for credibility, dynamic retargeting keyed to the size module viewed, post-purchase email that sets fit expectations before delivery.

08

Testing

Spec card vs no spec card. Single-body vs multi-body carousel. PDP module order. Post-purchase expectation email on vs off — measured on return rate, not clicks.

Running…

The system isolates winning combinations, promotes them into scaling, and retires the rest on a documented kill rule.

09

Measurement

Contribution margin after returns as the headline metric, plus CVR, AOV, return rate by size module and CAC by concept.

Results

Speculative / Concept Project · figures are illustrative

This is a concept project. No performance results exist, and we will not invent any. What follows describes the intended shape of the work and the metrics we would hold it to.

Learnings

In fit-sensitive categories, honesty is a performance lever. When creative promises exactly what arrives, conversion holds and the expensive part of the funnel gets cheaper.
