Overview

A speculative campaign concept built around the twelve minutes after a run ends — the part no sports brand films.

Type: Concept campaign. Industry: Sportswear. Year: 2026.

02

The challenge

Performance sportswear marketing is saturated with the same beat: effort, sweat, triumph, logo. The imagery is interchangeable at the thumbnail level, which is exactly where the decision to keep watching gets made. A brand with Nike's scale doesn't lack reach — it competes with its own visual clichés.

03

The insight

Runners don't talk about the run. They talk about what happens after: the walk home, the specific bench, the playlist that carried the last kilometre, the food, the shower, the message to a friend. The culture lives in the aftermath, and the aftermath is unclaimed territory.

04

The idea

AFTER THE CLOCK — an episodic series shot entirely in the twelve minutes after the watch stops. No slow-motion heroics. Handheld, unflattering, honest, funny. Each episode ends on a product detail that only matters after the effort: the way a jacket packs down, the cooldown layer, the shoe you can walk home in.

05

Creative direction

Documentary-grade vertical video, natural sound, on-screen city and split times as typographic chrome. A restrained palette so product reads at a glance. Every episode cut into six variants: a cold open on dialogue, one on a stat card, one on a product close-up, plus three hook rewrites.

06

Campaign execution

Twelve creators across six cities, each filming their own aftermath with a fixed shot list and total freedom on content. A studio layer adds one flagship film per market. Retail windows mirror the episode typography so the campaign is recognisable offline.

07

Distribution

Organic-first on creator handles, paid amplification through whitelisted creator accounts, plus a brand-account cut for reach. Retargeting sequences move from episode to product story to a market-specific landing page.

08

Testing

Hook tests on dialogue vs stat card vs product open. Length tests at 12s, 22s and 45s. Angle tests on 'recovery' vs 'ritual' vs 'city'. Creator-level read to find which voices carry which markets.

Running…

The system isolates winning combinations, promotes them into scaling, and retires the rest on a documented kill rule.

09

Measurement

Hook rate and hold rate as creative health metrics, view-through to product page as intent, blended CAC and new-customer share as the commercial read, brand search lift as the long-tail signal.

Results

Speculative / Concept Project · figures are illustrative

This is a concept project. No performance results exist, and we will not invent any. What follows describes the intended shape of the work and the metrics we would hold it to.

What we would measure

Hook rate and hold rate as creative health metrics, view-through to product page as intent, blended CAC and new-customer share as the commercial read, brand search lift as the long-tail signal.

Learnings

A category that films the same moment leaves adjacent moments completely open. The cheapest creative advantage in a saturated vertical is a change of timestamp, not a change of budget.
